One day it is the little girl mouse's turn to visit little boy mouse. She is about halfway across the field and the sky turns dark and she hears this loud rumbling noise. The sky lightens up and the sounds moves off into the distance. She continues her journey.
A short time later the sky turns darker and the noise is louder. Then the sky lightens and the sound moves off into the distance. Again she walks on towards the little boy mouse's house.
She is almost to the little boy mouse's house when the sky turns really dark and this huge noisy combine bears down on the little girl mouse. She get caught up with the grain stalks. She get drawn into the blades of the combine and thrashed about. She emerges from the discharge chute and is thrown to the ground.
She staggers to the little boy mouse's house and collapses. The little boy mouse comes to the door and asks, "What happened?"
"I've been reaped!"
